Being stuck at home right now can be a major bummer, but all of this free time is a great opportunity for some self-care and improvement! I am trying to maintain a daily schedule that helps me do things that are good for me. One great way to cure your quarantine boredom is to do some skin care! I feel like I am always combatting dry skin, but these three at home moisturizing face masks are such a big help!
First up is the banana mask!
You will need:
- Half of a ripe banana
- 1 teaspoon of honey
- 1 tablespoon of baking soda
Mash banana and mix the ingredients together. Apply to face and let sit for 10 minutes. Wash off and moisturize.
Banana hydrates and smoothes skin. Honey is moisturizing and soothing. The baking soda helps to exfoliate and keep your skin healthy. This DIY face mask for dry skin will do wonders for you.
Next up is the avocado mask.
You will need:
- 1 avocado
- 2 tablespoons of plain yogurt
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 1 tablespoon of honey
Thoroughly mix together ingredients to create a paste. Leave on face for 10 minutes then rinse off. Moisturize if necessary!
The avocado and olive oil’s omega fatty acids combined with the soothing effects of honey and yogurt will leave your skin feeling incredible.
The final DIY moisturizing facial mask that I want to recommend today is the cucumber mask.
You will need:
- 4 tablespoons of mashed cucumber
- 2 tablespoons of sour cream
Apply to face and let sit for 20 minutes then wash off.
I love this mask because cucumber moisturizes skin without leaving it oily! If you have combination skin with oily and dry patches, this mask is perfect for you!
I hope that these at home face masks for dry skin will help moisturize your skin! At home face masks are so affordable and easy to do on a regular basis. Good luck!
