I wanted to love this.

I’ve been on the lookout for the best Vitamin C serum out there, and tried this one in hopes that it’d be everything I was looking for. I’m a huge Peter Thomas Roth fan, and so I had high hopes for this serum. Plus, a vitamin C serum is one of the most essential skin care products in any skin care routine, so I’ve been wanting to find a go to product for a while now.

As far as the results go, it is an outstanding product. However, for the price, there are a couple deal breakers for me which will keep me from purchasing it again.

The product does brighten your skin and fade age spots. Just what I was looking for. My skin felt brighter, softer and healthier. It did help to fade those annoying dark spots that can be so stubborn.

The results weren’t dramatic enough, however, for me to get past a couple of issues I had with the product. The consistency and packaging are the two deal breakers for me. It is SO watery in texture. It is almost impossible to apply. You can’t pump it directly onto your fingertips because it just runs all over the place. The best I could do is to do a couple of pumps in the palm of my hand, and then use the fingers of my other hand to try and apply it to my face. I try to apply any excess product directly from the palm of my hand to one of my cheeks.

It seriously is a little ridiculous to try and get this stuff actually on your face. It is very difficult to spread around evenly and most of it just ends up leaving my palm. So much gets wasted.

If they updated the packaging, and found a way for us to apply it more easily and more effectively, I would be a big fan of this product. Until then, I’m still on a search for the ultimate vitamin C serum. I’ll keep you guys posted on what I find!

  • I had a deluxe sample of this awhile ago. It is very watery. I also didn’t like that alcohol is the third ingredient on the list. Looking forward to seeing other Vitamin C serums you review!
