I’m definitely a summer girl. I love being warm, I love the beach and I love a golden tan. I don’t, however, love the damage that comes with too much sun exposure. Premature aging and serious health risks are nothing to be casual about. So, protecting your skin by wearing sunscreen is a beauty must – especially when it comes to your face.
With this fun, DIY bronzer recipe using ingredients in your cupboard, you can add gorgeous sunkissed highlights to your face or body – without damaging your skin or spending a dime.
Ingredients:

- 2 Tbs. Cornstarch
- 1 Tbs. Cinnamon
- 1 Tbs. Cocoa Powder
- 1 Tbs. Nutmeg
* Plus a little extra of each ingredient for customization.
Instructions:
- Mix ingredients together in a small jar until very well blended. The cornstarch provides the base of the bronzer and the other ingredients provide pigment diversity and variation.
- Swirl a large, fluffy makeup brush, swirl lightly in the mixture. Be careful not to get too much product on the brush.
- Lightly sweep along the very top border part of your forehead, along the bridge of your nose and along the upper edges of your cheekbones and anywhere else you would naturally see a bit of a sun tan. For body, dust along collar bone and shoulders or anywhere else your little heart desires.
- Blend well.
Remember to use a light touch – it is better to start with a light application and add any extra layers as you go.
