I’m excited to share another fab drugstore find with you guys. This is my favorite drug store body lotion. It’s St. Ives Skin Renewing Collagen and Elastin Body Lotion.
This refreshing, deeply moisturizing body lotion retails for just $4.99 for a 21 oz. bottle. That’s a pretty big container for a super low price. Each bottle lasts me quite a while – I’d say at least a couple months, and I use it for my whole body twice per day.
It promises to give you refreshed, revitalized skin. It is said to be clinically proven to improve your skin’s elasticity for younger looking skin. I have to say that my skin does feel much more supple using this vs. other drugstore lotions. I wouldn’t say it reverses years of aging or anything, but I can definitely feel improved elasticity in my skin’s texture. My skin also feels noticeably smoother.
Of course there are other more expensive body lotions that I adore, but for the price, you really can’t beat this one. This is my ‘go to’ body lotion for regular, daily use while on a budget. I’ve never found another drugstore brand body lotion that I like better. I’ll try others, but I always come back to this one. It’s the equivalent of an ex that you just can’t get over. 😛
Another plus is that I love the scent. It’s fresh, clean, light and refreshing, but not too strong.
I also love how quickly it absorbs. Once you apply it, it soaks in nicely within a minute or two. Not so quick that you can’t spread it around, but quick enough that you can get dressed within a couple minutes and be on your way. I love how smooth and ‘springy’ my skin feels afterwards. A lot of other lotions leave my skin feeling sticky and greasy for a while and I get so antsy waiting for the product to sink in.
I do find that I’m ready to reapply more by the end of the day before I head to bed. But, I do have skin on the dry side, so I do this with almost every lotion I’ve ever used. For those of you with normal skin, one application per day would be plenty.
This moisturizer is definitely one of the best products by St. Ives. I’m not a die hard St. Ives fan or anything, but this moisturizer and the St. Ives Green Tea Blackhead Clearing Scrub that I reviewed a while back are two total winners.
Summary: If you’re looking for a super affordable moisturizer that really delivers, you will definitely want to give this one a whirl.
You can buy it at any Walmart
or Target location, most drugstores and on Amazon.
