Free Pair of $100 Leggings from Girlfriend Collective (For Just $20 Shipping) – Read Our Review!

Girlfriend Collective is launching a new line of leggings that everyone can afford. As part of their launch, they’re giving them away for free for a very limited time! There is a $20 charge for shipping though, so I just think of it as a sale where the leggings are $20. These kind of leggings are usually between $70 and $120, so the $20 ‘price’ is a great deal.

* Update 8/23/2016 – We noticed that a few of you had left comments wondering if this offer is legitimate or not. Well, we’re excited to let you know that we have tried them ourselves (received them yesterday, in fact)! The offer is 100% legit.

* Update 10/17/2016 – We are excited to give you guys our full review of these leggings! They are tried and true and we’d definitely recommend them to anyone. Here are all the details:

We first opened up the package, excited to see what the fuss was all about. The leggings come in an air compressed bag (so be careful when cutting it open). The leggings looked to be high quality with thick and substantial fabric. We have heard of some people noticing a ‘factory smell’ when the bag is first opened. Since the plastic is air sealed/vacuum packed, I can see why they might still have some of that ‘factory packed’ scent when first opening. I didn’t really notice this at all, but if you are sensitive to scents, you may want to just open them up and let them air out a bit.

I was very impressed upon trying them on. They are definitely high quality leggings. They are completely opaque – an absolute necessity with leggings. The fabric is smooth, thick, substantial and compressive.

Whether YOU will love them or not will come down to what kind of fabric you prefer. These leggings are made out of a quality, technical fabric. They’re not the typical ‘cottony’ feeling casual leggings. If you have tried Lululemon leggings, you know that their two most used legging fabrics are their traditional ‘Luon’ fabric and their ‘Luxtreme’ fabric. The Luon feels more ‘cottony’, while the Luxtreme feels more technical and synthetic (similar to what you might find in a pair of Nike leggings for instance). These Girlfriend Collective leggings are more similar to Luxtreme fabric. They feel even thicker and more substantial than Luxtreme. I would even say they’re slightly less stretchy and a little more compressive.

These leggings feel like they will really hold up. Being full length and composed of a thicker, denser material, they are pretty warm. I would definitely use them more in the Fall, Winter and Spring than the Summer. These would be ideal for an outdoor run in cooler weather like late Fall or early Spring.

The seams on the leggings are super flattering. They lay flat and look very streamlined.

They have a nice, slightly higher rise. (About 1-2 inches higher than Lululemon’s regular waist Wunder Under Crops). They hit your waist at a more flattering place than regular lower rise leggings, which usually hit right at the wrong spot, often creating the appearance of love handles. These crops are high enough to give you a smooth, streamlined look, but not so high that you feel suffocated in fabric. I love wearing a fitted tank over these crops – you end up with a nice, smooth shape. They accentuate your curves in the right way and smooth out any lumps and bumps.

To give you reference on sizing, I am a size 0-2 in most brands, a 25 in most jeans, a 2-4 in Lulu leggings and I ordered a size small in these Girlfriend Collective leggings. They are nicely compressive, and fit nicely. I think you could get away with a size Small even if you are a size 6 in Lululemon.

To sum it up, they are awesome! Thick, high quality and completely opaque. They’re definitely higher end leggings and so for just $20 in shipping, they are a steal.

Remember, the $20 offer is still going strong, so if you want some, hurry on over here” target=”_blank”>head on over to their site and order a pair!

    • Yep. No surprise there. They just wrote it on this website when they told you about the leggings. I guess you just saw FREE and went to the website. Otherwise you wouldn’t have been surprised lmao. And They do need money to work.

    • Part of the reason it costs is so they can pay people in their supply chain a fair wage. This is what we should all be looking for in a company, not cheap things that are cheap because people are working in sweatshops.

          • I wouldn’t say 200 but for sure 100 is very very normal for a pair of actual athletic leggings (not cheap leggings made for a blend of cotton and by nylon or spandex). Trust me, if you do sports or workout and have to get leggings that aren’t cheap and don’t show your whole ass, then you know this is insanely cheap.

    • If you read what they just said, instead of paying for the actual price of the leggings which would normally cost around 70-100$$$ you are literally paying for shipping and handling
Slightly overpriced, yes but they give the exact reason and state that the price of shipping will lower but when that happens the price of the leggings will most likely go up to seventy dollars. So I read of paying twenty you’ll either be paying eighty because of s and h plus tax or 120 for the same reason. So twenty bucks right now is a A pretty damn good deal

    • Hi Sarah,

The company is brand new and this is their first marketing campaign to get their brand out there and to let people try their leggings prior to their launch. If you’re nervous to order until they’ve been around longer, you should just wait to purchase anything until the company launches this coming September. 🙂

If you still want to order, but want to learn more about them first, you can read more about the company and the promo here and here. 🙂

    • I ordered my pair in July, and received them about a month ago. Sooo worth it. I actually ordered a second pair under my husbands name so I could get the $20 deal again.

    • Absolutely legit, Sarah. And, they are fantastic! Mine did take quite some time to arrive as I was one of the first waves of orders last winger/spring. They arrived, and, are well worth $20 considering they are A) made from recycled bottles B) giving fairer wages to their workers and C) come all the way from Vietnam. It is a REAL company and fully legit. You’ll love them – spend the $20.

  • there isn’t much info on the company anywhere… how can I, as a consumer, confirm that promo isn’t a scam, and is legitimate?

    • Hi as,

Yes, this company is a brand new one. They aren’t launching their activewear line until September, and so this is their very first marketing campaign. There are a couple stories that were published out about the company and the promo. You can read more about them here and here. If you’re concerned, though, you should just wait to try the leggings once they’ve launched. 🙂

  • Coming from someone who owns too many leggings, $20 is a BARGAIN for a pair that is supposed to rival Lululemon’s $90+ pants. A pair of leggings at FOREVER 21 is already $20+ and the quality sucks. I’m super excited for this deal and hoping that it lives up to expectation!

    • I ordered them a couple of months ago and they stated at that time they would not be shipping until late September or early October. They came yesterday October 14. They appear well made and thick. I haven’t tried them on yet.

  • I received my leggings today and they’re amazing!! They rival other Lulu and Nike leggings for quality. If you want a pair of quality black leggings that were made with the environment and fair working conditions in mind, I’d order these, they’re excellent.

  • What a great deal! I can use this offer for myself and my two sisters. These will be so great to pair up with just about everything in our fall wardrobes. Thank you so much!

  • This is a great deal when you consider what the normal price is. I do agree that $20 is a lot to pay for leggings but if they’re meant to be more like a sports compression legging, then that’s probably closer to the norm.

  • Received my leggings this week and they are absolutely my FAVORITE pair of leggings I have ever worn. I’ve been wearing mine all day. Something I’ve noticed about them is that I’m not constantly readjusting them when I sit down and get up. They fit like a glove! Their customer service is awesome too. For anyone worried about this being a scam (which it is not!) your credit card will normally reverse the charges when you’re scammed. Seriously get them!!

    • aha, finally got it to work!!! I used a different browser (Firefox instead of Safari). After accepting 8 million cookies, I went through the steps again and now under the FB share button appeared a tiny link saying “I have a different idea”. I clicked it and it allowed me to “checkout” and put in my address and pay for S&H. Success!!! Hope these damn things are worth all the trouble.
