Girlfriend Collective is launching a new line of leggings that everyone can afford. As part of their launch, they’re giving them away for free for a very limited time! There is a $20 charge for shipping though, so I just think of it as a sale where the leggings are $20. These kind of leggings are usually between $70 and $120, so the $20 ‘price’ is a great deal.

* Update 8/23/2016 – We noticed that a few of you had left comments wondering if this offer is legitimate or not. Well, we’re excited to let you know that we have tried them ourselves (received them yesterday, in fact)! The offer is 100% legit.
* Update 10/17/2016 – We are excited to give you guys our full review of these leggings! They are tried and true and we’d definitely recommend them to anyone. Here are all the details:
We first opened up the package, excited to see what the fuss was all about. The leggings come in an air compressed bag (so be careful when cutting it open). The leggings looked to be high quality with thick and substantial fabric. We have heard of some people noticing a ‘factory smell’ when the bag is first opened. Since the plastic is air sealed/vacuum packed, I can see why they might still have some of that ‘factory packed’ scent when first opening. I didn’t really notice this at all, but if you are sensitive to scents, you may want to just open them up and let them air out a bit.
I was very impressed upon trying them on. They are definitely high quality leggings. They are completely opaque – an absolute necessity with leggings. The fabric is smooth, thick, substantial and compressive.
Whether YOU will love them or not will come down to what kind of fabric you prefer. These leggings are made out of a quality, technical fabric. They’re not the typical ‘cottony’ feeling casual leggings. If you have tried Lululemon leggings, you know that their two most used legging fabrics are their traditional ‘Luon’ fabric and their ‘Luxtreme’ fabric. The Luon feels more ‘cottony’, while the Luxtreme feels more technical and synthetic (similar to what you might find in a pair of Nike leggings for instance). These Girlfriend Collective leggings are more similar to Luxtreme fabric. They feel even thicker and more substantial than Luxtreme. I would even say they’re slightly less stretchy and a little more compressive.
These leggings feel like they will really hold up. Being full length and composed of a thicker, denser material, they are pretty warm. I would definitely use them more in the Fall, Winter and Spring than the Summer. These would be ideal for an outdoor run in cooler weather like late Fall or early Spring.
The seams on the leggings are super flattering. They lay flat and look very streamlined.
They have a nice, slightly higher rise. (About 1-2 inches higher than Lululemon’s regular waist Wunder Under Crops). They hit your waist at a more flattering place than regular lower rise leggings, which usually hit right at the wrong spot, often creating the appearance of love handles. These crops are high enough to give you a smooth, streamlined look, but not so high that you feel suffocated in fabric. I love wearing a fitted tank over these crops – you end up with a nice, smooth shape. They accentuate your curves in the right way and smooth out any lumps and bumps.
To give you reference on sizing, I am a size 0-2 in most brands, a 25 in most jeans, a 2-4 in Lulu leggings and I ordered a size small in these Girlfriend Collective leggings. They are nicely compressive, and fit nicely. I think you could get away with a size Small even if you are a size 6 in Lululemon.
To sum it up, they are awesome! Thick, high quality and completely opaque. They’re definitely higher end leggings and so for just $20 in shipping, they are a steal.
Remember, the $20 offer is still going strong, so if you want some, hurry on over here” target=”_blank”>head on over to their site and order a pair!
